<body>I've got a few t-shirt designs in the works, but I haven't figured out how I'm going to sell them once I get them printed. I've had a few friends take a bunch of orders and then get the printing done based on the sizes requested, delaying the individual customer's actual order altogether.

I wonder if there isn't "typical size" data somewhere that could predict the percentage of each size (small, medium, large, etc.) per batch so that I could have 100 or so shirts printed and not get stuck with too many smalls, extra larges, and so on.

Anyone have ideas on this, or maybe want to share their own experience?</body>

<body>It really depends on who your customers are. Typically the break downs are 1:2:2:1:1 for men, but that certainly isn't always the case. Personally, we sell a lot of L and XL. </body>

<body>Good point, John. I guess my "customers" would typically be more in the geek/designer/developer category. People who spend time on Flickr/Twitter/Facebook and sites like this one right here.

I suppose I need to think about both guys and girls sizes too, which my original question didn't address.

Thanks for chiming in though, I appreciate it.</body>

<body>You could use one of those merchnow or storenvy deals they handle all the shipping and whatnot. I think merchnow does that, correct me if I'm wrong.</body>

<body>Anybody selling any 2xl-3xl size shirts? My normal customers were buying tall tees from xl-6xl but now I'm gonna start carrying small-6xl to hopefully have something for everybody that's interested. I think I lost a lot of sales by only offering xl-6xl on my site. Which is what the stores wanted. I had huge success in stores first and seem to be working in reverse by now getting my web-site sales together. </body>

<body>I'm not really looking to have another company handle the shipping because I'm not expecting to have a lot of inventory or a ton of sales to be honest. Plus I'd like to keep it low key and personal, so I don't mind taking care of the packaging and shipping myself.</body>
