my old band from 00' just did two new songs(real studio)! Free old school screamo-ish. ex- zolof the rock and roll destroyer
posted 6 months ago by {miles to go}
ok. im being that guy but im old now(30), so bare with me.
my old band from 97-01 just did two new songs this year. we used to get the jawbreaker, drives like jehu thing but i guess these are a bit more modern and we used to be "screamo"? before "straight" dudes wore eyeliner and owned flat irons.
songs are available for free to download and recorded in a real studio. no demo junk. recorded by vince from zolof who has done all the zolof the rock and roll destroyer records and bury your dead, none more black, valencia, the wonder years, etc. he also played bass on the songs too.
two new silence wields no beauty songs are up and free for download!!! go listen on myspace http://www.myspace.com/swnb
if you just want the songs in good quality mp3 for FREE, download here. http://www.mediafire.com/?hzmdj2zwvn4
bashing is fine and it might not be so modern but im pretty happy with them.
dig.

jeff kardos said 6 months ago
sick!!! your from richboro? thats like 15-20 minutes from my house.
im in yardley/morrisville
{miles to go} said 6 months ago
im from newtown, the bassist was from holland the drummer from richboro, so i went with richboro for some reason. class of 97 at council rock! ha.
most of the people from my other band lives in fairless hills or yardley area.
{miles to go} said 6 months ago
both awesome bands so i will take that as a nice compliment.
ShineOn said 6 months ago
Definitely a big compliment, I hold both those bands in high regard! This is so awesome though, Im only 22 but I would love to revisit the band I was in when I was 14 and write and record some stuff
William Henry said 6 months ago
Good stuff man. Definitely into it.
{miles to go} said 6 months ago
its funny. we hadnt jammed together in over 7 years and got together and things just gelled like they used to. it was pretty cool and a lot of fun. i recorded the guitar and vocals back in early nov and the drummer finally went in to finish it yesterday afternoon.
{miles to go} said 6 months ago
thanks mr good distraction.
ShineOn said 6 months ago
That rules. Ive been so busy that I havent had a chance to jam or write anything substantial since I quit my last band but I still keep in touch with some old high school friends and this might have just been to motivation I needed to make it happen.
I know Ive seen you post about This Day Forward and other bands of that nature so I figured youd get a kick out of this. http://www.mediafire.com/?mnn2intm0u1 - Its my old bands demo from 02, while looking back it isnt that good I think youd appreciate it. Check out the tracks "Perfect Flaw" & "Forevers Ending" if you get a chance! Should remind of a different time in "post hardcore" haha
{miles to go} said 6 months ago
sweet. thanks. downloading it now. none of us sounded as good back in 02, ha. i will give it a listen.
update: listening now. so sounds like something i would have rocked a lot back then. i still think its good but still listen to strongarm, overcome, this day forward, taken, a long winter, etc.
ShineOn said 6 months ago
haha glad you dig it. Yeah Im the same way, half the bands in my constant rotation are the same records I grew up listening to. Nice to see someone else who was way into that genre of music, growing up it felt like we were few and far between haha
Jeff Buchanan said 6 months ago
Werent you in TGI?
ShineOn said 6 months ago

{miles to go} said 6 months ago

{miles to go} said 6 months ago
If I didnt live 2800 miles from the other two guys Im sure we would.
ChrisNeal said 6 months ago
just downloaded, major gnar
kinda reminds me of Million Dead.
thanks
jeff kardos said 6 months ago
well if you ever come back around and play one post it on emptees!
{miles to go} said 6 months ago
@ jeff. maybe one of these days we will play a show. it would be a lot of fun. downside being that most people my age that used to listen to us rarely go to shows anymore so wed have to get on a show with new bands and be the old farts rocking out.
{miles to go} said 6 months ago
i dont think ive ever heard million dead before. i will have t look them up on myspace or one of those sites.
ChrisNeal said 6 months ago
just reminded me of a couple of tracks of the first album A Song to Ruin, if you know Frank Turner, its his old band.
jeff kardos said 6 months ago
nothing wrong with that. im sure if the word got out all the people would go to the show. and it shouldnt be that hard to get on a show if you know some people. Or you could book it yourself and get some of the new bands to play.
