I've got the intuos3 6x8 as well. i love it, i hate mice, so i use it to play WoW, no joke.

i have the intuos3 6x11 fit for widescreens. it's great, i couldn't imagine working without it now that i've gotten used to it. and serves well as a mouse too!

i have the special edition 6x11 then a week later the graphire came out but its ok i still love it =]

wasn't wild about them till i could draw on the screen. now i think papers only for the printer.
got the 12wx for xmas, love it!
super portable, and a perfect edition for my macbook which i usually play movies on while i draw on the wacom. it's a perfect edition to the mac b/c of the touch pad and shortcuts all on the keyboard while a 1280x800 res screen packed into a 12" screen is in front of me to draw on. so i usually have my left hand on the track pad while drawing with the right.
The Mac easily handles the additional screen and have yet to experience lag while running a reasonable number of applications. (Usually Adobe PS, Itunes, transmission, VLCplayer, transmit, color schemer studio, Finder, Mail)
I'll get a real review of the 12wx in a blog post later this week. bottom line the thing rules.

I use mine to play WOW also! As a secondary activity to designing of course. I got the Wacom 9x12 Intuos3 and I will soon replace it with the 21UX!!

ironically, i started to ask you in class if you use a wacom tablet... especially since you do most of your work in illustrator. (forgetting of course the fact that you said you just got one when wes and i were sitting outside, heh.)
personally, i like working in illustrator, probably a little more than i do photoshop, and i hardly ever do anything without using one. i'm pretty sure you'll get addicted to it. it's so much easier to use the pen tool, among other things. i guess it's just a lot more intuitive.

of course it's worthy. Although you're only gonna get out of it what you put in. It's not like amazing designs start happening immediately cause you got a wacom.
But yeah, you'll love it!

i got a refurbished 12x12 intuos 2 from wacom a few years ago for SUPER CHEAP and it is awesome. definitely a great purchase. i feel like we talk about tablets every few weeks here haha
justgeoff said 7 months ago
That's a blatant lie. If you download the Sophistication 2.19 (build 14678) patch from the Wacom site it actually will do the designs for you while you focus on more important tasks, like hanging out on Emptees.
derekdeal said 7 months ago
dude, i got that and it started auto tracing everything in my porn folder, i mean, it looked incredible, but what a waste of time
justgeoff said 7 months ago
You have to go into preferences and change that. I had a whole folder of beastiality porn live traced and posted onto my Myspace page. There's definitely some bugs that need worked out, but overall it has improved my workflow by 300%.

dobi said 7 months ago
i'm amazed when i see guys like itschrees (whose work is mostly illustration based) have been working WITHOUT one.
mission_alphaville said 7 months ago
same as dobi. I mean, look at his work I thought it was ALL wacom :')
