My partner, Kyle, was bored at work and stumbled upon Entertainment Weeklys top 25 comedies in the last 25 years. The list is kind of weak. Heres our take on the list. We were curious as to what everyones top 5 would be? Our top 5 would be:
5. Dumb & Dumber
4. The Hangover
3. The Big Lebowski
2. Team America World Police
1. Old School

No way! Ghostbusters is a good movie, but as far as a comedy, there are so many better comedies.
Sam Kaufman said 9 months ago
I still laugh my ass off when I watch it. Barely happens with any other of the comedies on that list.
dobi said 9 months ago
Your list is awful.

Death to smoothy, I recall that got horrible reviews and I also recall agreeing with all of those reviews. Hating movies is so much more fun. I have seen and enjoyed all of those films even the ones I hate.
Pootie Tang.
Its ok to hate this one, but it is surprisingly entertaining.
as far as best...
Blues Brothers should be on there for sheer number of awesome quotes alone.
Hatter & Company said 9 months ago
Haha Pootie Tang is terrible, but nonetheless entertaining and funny. I agree that its enjoyable to hate movies...
valorandvellum said 9 months ago
No ones mentioned Napoleon Dynamite? Thats the one movie I can watch over and over, anytime, no matter what mood Im in. Its also sooooo quotable!

some of the most overrated and not funny "comedies" seen here:
tropic thunder
the hangover
napolean dynamite (yea cuz i want to watch a kid with red hair and down syndrome for 2 hours then quote his lines)
jublin said 9 months ago
this is hard
gangnath said 9 months ago
GREAT!
downpick said 9 months ago
while step brothers was most excellent (it would be in my top 25) i think its still somewhat early to give it the classic status of say a "Benchwarmers" or a "Waterboy." I liked Napoleon; Nacho Libre was the big dissapointment for me, there were a few funny parts here and there, but overall it was kind of a dud. The Hangover was mediocre at best. Tropic Thunder, i forgot what that "movie" was about on purpose.
ominousred said 9 months ago
Dumb and Dumber
Pineapple Express
SuperBad
Hangover
Wedding Crashers
Hot Rod
Im Gonna Get You Sucka
Tropic Thunder
Napolean Dynamite
Fear of A Black Hat
CB4
Grandmas Boy
Friday
Kentucky Fried Movie
Amazon Women on the Moon
Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie For Theaters
Emperors New Groove
Im kinda surprised Austin Powers did not make it on here for anyone. I almost lost my sh*t when they had the famous cameos in the intro to the sequel.
