Photo re-touch critique.

Hey.. so a guy just seen my photo re-touches online and e-mailed me and asked me to do 3 photo re-touches with a vampire/creative/fantasy style editing done to it.... BUT he didnt want all gore etc.

what do you think?
what can i improve..
as its the 1st time i’ve done re-touching in this kind of way..I want it to be good and fairly professional looking

The background is made up of bad pictures i took of the moon on a cloudy night out of my bathroom window.. but it gave a nice effect and i used a wood texture.. but you really cant see it...

   1st of all: what is "a uy?" Lol.

   2nd of all: I think his pose doesn’t make a great image for what he wants to begin with. I would recommend him making more photos, with other poses.

   I think that is some beautiful woodworking...

   I find his request to be strange though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bodybuilder vampire, as they are naturally of superhuman strength.

   In any case I think more can be done, especially if he is open to the idea of distressing the photo.

   Yup its a roof.. of the welsh assembly building.. Hmm yeah.. distress would look great on this.. i’ll send him this image and a distressed style i think.. should work out good. thanks for that

   Possibly.. but all his images are based around body building and muscle sculpture.. hes a fitness trainer and body builder so yeah.. all of his images are muscle packed and what not.

   Makes sense. Although i believe it makes a big difference if he posed a bit more like these examples of muscular guys i found on iStock:

   

   

   

   

   

   The pose he’s taking in your picture gives it a bit of a "funny" look, which doesn’t help you in giving it a vampire/fantasy make-over. Ah well, maybe that’s what he wants, i don’t know.

   Ok my girlfriend just asked me why in the world i’m looking for "muscular male models posing".

    Yeah agree. I think this picture could work as a warewolf tho.

    His pose ruins it. Other than that I feel the fangs are a bit weak, they thin out too much. And the definition in his face, like the wrinkles are lost with the contrast. Cut it down a bit.

    Sorry it was bothering me haha.

    As for the photo retouching I think it looks pretty good so far, maybe try using the burn tool to make the shadows a bit more dramatic.

    Just more contrast in general would help, and burn in the pants so they are not such a focal point.

    I think I would have used the burn tool and/or color replacement tool to make his pants black. He looks like a tool with them light like that. Dracula would not been seen in such a color.

    theres an eyesore right above his nutts lol. this patch of skin thats just an unnecessary focal point. i’d suggest bringing the pants UP some. without completely distorting the spot, subtle up that shit.

    also, the twilight vampire shit (which i’m guessing he is going for?) is more of a sepia with browns and what not

    also, make the pants darker.that would also fix the eyesore above the crotch.

    heh, i said crotch.

    The pose is the least of your worries. The levels are horrible and he is making a face like a cat.
